Laura and Victoria Hurley
Laura and Victoria Hurley are a song writing duo from South East London. They deliver acoustically driven songs with melting electric riffs and haunting vocals.
Laura began performing at open mic showcases in 2008, singing and playing her own material acoustically. She has also spent time perfecting her vocal abilities singing lead vocal with ‘John Pead and Friends’ at Jazz nights in the South East. Having developed a small following Laura turned her act into a duo, bringing her sisters talents on lead guitar into the mix.
Since February of this year they have been performing together at many ‘Plugged In and Switched On’ events in North London and recently gave a stunning performance at the South End Green Festival.
In the last few months they have developed dramatically as both songwriters and performers, writing beautifully crafted songs with thought provoking lyrics and haunting melodies. With Laura on vocals and rhythm guitar and Victoria on lead guitar, they deliver their songs with a subtlety that hides a depth of feeling and insight that is beyond their years.
