Combining his rich and earthy voice, Jayson Norris’ musical, Maori and New Zealand heritage is subtly reflected within his marketable sound.
Jayson has built up a cult following with over 500 fans each week at his live gigs and over 10,000 social networks friends on Myspace, Facebook and Twitter. His first album - 'A Basket Full' sold over 2000 copies, which he released independently.
Jayson honed his craft in New Zealand, where he has appeared many times on Juice TV and mainstream radio including; More FM and The Edge. Jayson has been featured on the Popworld compilation album along side Rogue Traders, Westlife and Lil Chris; Toured and supported Dave Dobbyn on his UK tour; supported Kiwi artists such as Anika Moa, Breaks co-op, The Black Seeds, Hayley Westenra, Bruce Conlon (Eight), The Thin men, Nathan King (Zed) and Jason Kerrison (Opshop).
In the UK he has appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh show, in the NME magazine, TNT magazine, the Metro , BBC Radio 2, Last FM radio to name a few.. Jayson has also performed alongside internationally recognised artists such as Andrea Bocelli and has performed in front of Paul McCartney, Will Young and Bjork.
