Angie Shaw

Angie Shaw hails from Harrogate, began writing songs a few years ago, and released her debut album, 'The Other Side of Blue' in May 2008 to excellent reviews.

Her individual style creates a colourful blend of sounds which takes folk, blues, acoustic, country, rock and jazz influences into its wide spanning range. She is now going solo, after working and recording with a band for the last three years. New material blends with and expands on the material from her first album, as this emerging artist branches out to gain exposure further afield than her native Yorkshire.

Angie has been compared to Edie Brickell, KT Tunstall, Kate Bush, Vashti Bunyan and Norah Jones. Versatile and gently expressive, she creates an easy-on-the-ear mellow sound which makes for a relaxing but thought-provoking listen.
