Achilles

Described by Radio One's, Rob da Bank as sounding, “like DJ Shadow gone Westcountry,” achilles. are a genre-defying, primarily instrumental band from Shaftesbury in Dorset.

The current, six piece line-up was formed in 2009, and in that short time Achilles have already swept the board at this year’s Dorset Unsigned Music Awards, winning their debut on Camp Bestival’s main stage and slots at Larmer Tree and Endorse It in Dorset festivals.

Focusing on a fresh mix of broad influences from Jazz, Drum and Bass, Electronica, Hip-hop and Dubstep, achilles.’ performances are steered away from traditional song-writing structures in favour of a more open- minded approach, moving in themes that build to epic and intense
musical landscapes.
